We believe that the most successful renovations begin with an understanding of what already exists. Rather than erasing the past, we seek to reinterpret it, preserving the architectural proportions, and craftsmanship of the original home while adapting it to the needs of contemporary living. This project involved a comprehensive interior renovation of a 30-year-old residence, transforming a series of compartmentalised and heavily ornamented interiors into calm and contemporary living spaces while preserving the home’s architectural essence. Existing spaces are reconfigured to improve flow, functionality and natural light, while bespoke cabinetry was integrated throughout to provide generous concealed storage without compromising the clarity of the interiors. Original architectural proportions and key classical elements were retained and reinterpreted through a restrained material palette, refined detailing, and contemporary finishes. The result is a space that respects its past while embracing modern living - demonstrating how thoughtful intervention can extend the life and relevance of an existing house without diminishing its character.
